The Learning Disability Partnership Board
We need your help to get more people with a learning
disability involved in the Partnership Board
The Learning Disability Partnership Board is trying to involve
more people with a learning disability. For this to be
meaningful it requires support for people before, during and after
each bi-monthly meeting. The Board would be very grateful for
any ideas on how we can get more people with a learning disability
involved with the meetings. We are looking for 'offers' of
time from anyone interested in improving the lives of people with a
learning disability living in Blackburn with Darwen.
Perhaps you could spend 30 minutes or so with an individual or
group to talk about the agenda, and what they might want to say at
the meeting? Perhaps you could help with transport to and from the
meetings? Perhaps you could assist people after the meetings to
have time to think about everything that was said?
There are many, many ways people with a learning disability can
be supported to provide a valuable contribution to what and how we
need to improve life for them.
Please don't be shy about offering any ideas or
support! Please contact rosemary.molyneux@blackburn.gov.uk
or call 01254 584414 if you have any
ideas. Rosemary Molyneux who will take your
suggestions to the Partnership Board.
