Adult social care provider services
Options appraisal for adult social care provider
services
The Council is seeing if there are better ways to run some parts
of adult social care and help save money. The Government
isn't giving the Council as much money to spend, so we need to
think how we can save money.
One idea is to set up a company called a 'not for profit social
enterprise'. This means any money that the business makes is used
to make the business better.
The Council is running a 'tender'. This means that any business
that is interested in running the services, fills in an application
form to say why they would be the best people to run the
services. The Council will look at everyone's application
forms and choose the best one.
The Council will decide what to do next at their Executive Board
meeting in January 2011.
